Visitation Policy

Effective Date: June 8, 2020

Memorial Medical Center recognizes the importance of family support in the healing process and effective June 8th, we will begin allowing one visitor per patient per day. All visitors will be required to clear a health screening and will be provided a mask to wear upon entry and throughout their entire visit. Additional details of the updated visitor policy include:
●Visitation/Guests will be limited to one (16 years or older) per patient per day. This is applicable for all areas of the hospital including inpatients, outpatients, and Emergency Department patients.  Everyone entering the facility including patients, visitors, employees, vendors, and contractors will be screened at designated entry points (front hospital entrance and/or emergency department).
●Visitors, employees, vendors, and contractors with a positive screen will not be permitted to enter the facility.
●Extenuating circumstances may present and will be handled at the discretion of the department director or Administration.
●Everyone entering the facility will be required to wear a face covering or mask. If you do not have one, we will provide one at the front entrance.

Department Specific Visitation Guidelines:
●ER: 1 visitor (24 hours a day. Visitation hours do not apply to ER patients, but 1 visitor limit does apply. If a minor accompanies an Emergency Room patient, the minor will remain with the patient if no alternatives are possible)
●Labor & Delivery: 1 support person
●Med/Surg: 1 visitor per day (no check-in before 7am or after 7pm, must exit building by 9pm)
●ICU: 1 visitor per day (no check-in before 7am or after 7pm, must exit building by 9pm)
●Surgery: 1 visitor (visitor must pass screening)
●Memorial Medical Clinic: 1 guest per patient. Guest must pass screening. If a patient presents with a minor, the minor will be permitted to remain with the patient.
●Outpatient Testing: 1 guest per patient (guest must pass screening)
●Rehabilitation Building: 1 visitor per patient if necessary
