On
March 13, 2004, our hospital family lost a shining star. Gina Villegas
was a five year employee at Memorial Medical Center and worked in
our Health Information Department.
Although Gina is no longer with us, we wanted to keep her memory alive.
The idea of "Gina's Closet" was born out of that desire.
"Gina's Closet" characterizes Gina's love for kids. 
A
child confined to the hospital can go to "Gina's Closet"
and pick out a toy, game, coloring book, or stuffed animal to give
them comfort during their stay and they can take it home when they
leave. Gina loved giving children gifts and through "Gina Closet"
this tradition can continue.
