Medical Center has a six bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) providing a
specialized area that cares for patients of all ages. Patient monitoring
includes life-threatening conditions, respiratory problems, heart
conditions, surgery and other medical emergencies. Our computer-networked
monitoring equipment allows doctors and staff access to current patient
information and vital statistics from any workstation including the
central unit at the nursing station. All the beds in the ICU unit
are specialized to aid staff in providing quality care for all patients.
One feature is a weight sensor which will alert staff immediately
if a patient tries to get out of bed. The combination of our technical
monitoring systems and a professional staff whose continuing education
keeps them on the cutting edge of new medical techniques and developments
allows us to provide our patients with the very highest level of care
and treatment.
