NURSING SERVICES

PRN Only:                                                                                                
REGISTERED NURSE – ALL UNITS
- (GRADE 14)
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of accredited nursing school and current Texas R. N. license. A minimum of one year experience in acute care preferred.
JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for providing direct patient care to patients in Med. Surg., ER, ICU, OB, Nursery, OR and PACU setting. PRN position. 

PRN Night Shift:                                                                           
REGISTERED NURSE – MED. SURG.
(GRADE 14)                      
REQUIREMENTS: 
Graduate of accredited nursing school and current Texas RN license.  A minimum of one year experience in acute care preferred.  General computer knowledge.                                                              
JOB DUTIES: 
Responsible for providing direct patient care to patients in Med. Surg. Collects data and documents regarding the patients status and well being and reports information appropriately.  Implements therapeutic interventions ordered by qualified practioners and establishes patients plan of care.  PRN night shift. 

Full-Time Day Shift:
                                                                             
REGISTERED NURSE – I.C.U.
– (GRADE 14)                                        
REQUIREMENTS: 
Graduate of accredited nursing school and current Texas license.  A minimum of two years acute care experience or one year critical care experience preferred.  Current ACLS certification.  PALS certification preferred. Strong assessment skills.                                        
REQUIREMENTS: 
Provide direct patient care to patients in ICU.  Collect data, document and report to physicians appropriately and in a timely manner.  Act as liaison between family/patient and medical team.  Establish patient plan of care.  Implement therapeutic interventions as ordered by qualified physicians and measure responses to those interventions. Full time day shift.
 
Full-time 12 hour day shift:                                                           
CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE (CNA)-MED. SURG.
– (GRADE 8)               
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent.  At least one year experience and graduate of an accredited Nurse’s Aide training program or equivalent.                                                                                                    
JOB DUTIES: 
The Nursing Adie is responsible for assisting in the total patient care and performing any other duties deemed necessary to insure optimal patient care under the direction and supervision of the Licensed Vocational Nurse or the Registered Nurse.  Full Time 12-hr day shift.  

PRN:                                                                                                               
ER-OUT-PATIENT ASSISTANT
– (GRADE 6)                                      
REQUIREMENTS: 
 High school diploma or equivalent.  CPR certified (will train).  Able to type, strong computer skills a must, good telephone skills, able to handle stressful situations and good public relations. A desire to work closely with patients and family.                                                             
JOB DUTIES: 
Communicating with patients & families, preparing rooms for occupancy, escorting patients to rooms, reporting & recording of vital signs & other pertinent information, assisting nurses & physicians in care of the patient.  General secretarial & clerical duties to include, but not limited to registration of patients, entering physician orders into the computer, ordering supplies and answering telephone.  PRN position includes variable hours, week-ends and holidays.

 

LABORATORY

PRN:                                                                                                    
MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST
or MEDICAL LAB TECHNOLOGIST- (GR 14/12)
REQUIREMENTS: 
 Registered MT or MLT with ASCP, HEW, AMT or equivalent.
JOB DUTIES:  Include general with good phlebotomy skills.  Able to work independently and with a team.  PRN weekends, evenings and days.


ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

PRN:
E.S. AIDE (GRADE 1)                                                                               
REQUIREMENTS: 
High School diploma or equivalent.  Experience in cleaning preferred.
JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for cleaning patient rooms, departments, nursing units and offices. PRN position includes various shifts, weekends and holidays.
