Memorial
Medical Center Awarded
Texas Workforce Solutions'
Future Workforce Award of Excellence
In
a pro-active effort at addressing the on-going nursing shortage, the
Golden Crescent Healthcare Consortium (Memorial Medical Center, Gonzales
Healthcare Systems, Citizens Medical Center, Lavaca Medical Center,
Detar Healthcare Systems, Cuero Community Hospital), along with the
Texas Workforce Solutions of the Golden Crescent Workforce Development
Board, have provided training and skills enhancement opportunities
to incumbent workers within the healthcare field. With funds from
the Achieving Performance Excellence grant, the Consortium aggressively
promoted the project to employers and training providers. Strong relationships
were forged with both local and national training providers to accommodate
the influx of students continuing their education. Their efforts led
to the creation of innovative implementation practices and the promise
and commitment to allow participants to continue with their education
once the grant has expired.
Texas
Workforce Solutions of the Golden Crescent Employer Awards
Today, Texas businesses face and surpass difficult challenges and
they deserve to be distinguished. Each year we are honored to designate
outstanding local employers for a unique recognition opportunity.
As we work toward creating a world-class workforce, these awards provide
an opportunity to recognize our employers who have contributed to
the betterment of the local workforce system, supported it as our
customers and helped others to learn about its benefits.
