Mike Kin Recognized as CHN's December 2023 Service Excellence Superstar

Curry Health Network proudly presents Michael Kin, MT, as our December 2023 Service Excellence Superstar. Mike's outstanding communication skills with our ED Doctors have set him apart, earning well-deserved recognition. His proactive approach, demonstrated when expressing a desire to understand the reasons behind specific test orders, exemplifies his dedication to continuous learning and collaborative teamwork.

In addition to his exemplary work in the lab, Mike deserves acknowledgment for mentoring three local high school students. Going beyond traditional methods, he meticulously planned immersive experiences, providing insights into lab operations and their relevance to the ED and hospital functions. Mike's mentorship has proven invaluable, with one student already accepted into OHSU's medical laboratory science program. Witnessing a seasoned tech like Mike guide and inspire potential future techs is both thrilling and essential for the growth of our community and the field. His contributions are truly commendable.
