Surgery Scheduler
Requirements:
Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Vocational Nurse with basic medical knowledge. Must have great organizational and computer skills, with the ability to multitask. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Bilingual preferred.
Job Description:
The pre-admission scheduler is responsible for obtaining patient information, scheduling surgery's, and collaborating with physicians and CRNA's about preoperative work-up. The pre-admission scheduler educates patients about preoperative and postoperative instructions and prepares completed charts and other duties. Adjusts time to meet the needs of surgery pre-registration.
