Infection Prevention / Employee Health Nurse
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing with Texas Licensure preferred. Minimum of 2 years hospital related experience is required. Experience in Infection Prevention, risk management and/or employee health is preferred. Current CPR certification is required.

The Infection Prevention - Employee Health - Risk Management Nurse is responsible for infection prevention and control functions including data collecting and reporting, infectious disease related investigations, le spread of infection; outbreak investigation, overseeing infection prevention measures in the facility, and overall program evaluation. Responsible for reporting pertinent information to hospital administration and medical staff. Responsible for bioterrorism preparedness. Coordinates Employee Health and Risk Management. Conducts new hire screenings and annual employee health screenings. Conducts surveillance and follow-up of employee exposures for communicable diseases. Plans, implements and conducts annual Flu Vaccine Program and other vaccine programs as directed by APIC, OSHA, CDC, and other regulatory agencies. Trends employee illnesses/injuries to identify safety and health issues. Provides education on an as needed basis. Maintains employee health records. Also will be responsible for instructing CPR classes (training will be provided).
